Thoughts on the new FX Show Thief

So, who's watching it?

I fell asleep twice on the pilot episode but kept going back to it until I watched the entire thing. I decided to wait until after this week's episode aired to cast judgement, but the time has come.

Kinda slow, kinda.....blah. I think this show is going to go the way of Lucky, actually, after watching the first 2 episodes I felt the same way that I did after watching the first 2 episodes of Lucky. I wanted to like it, but I just didn't.

I will be surprised if FX lets this show run it's entire 6 episode season, especially after they cancelled Over There early and Over There was WAY better then Thief.

Speaking of Over There, Kirk "Stiky Fingaz" Jones that played Smoke on Over There and Kern Little on the Shield (and was a member of the rap group Onyx) has signed on to play Blade in a TV series set to air on Spike TV.

Last night was a definite improvement over the premiere.

Shame that Linda Hamilton bought it so early, though.

I've been very disappointed with it. Andre Braugher's acting is, as always, TOP NOTCH. But the pacing of the show is just killing me. It is soooooooooo slow! Still, I'll watch it out since there's only 4 left (if they all air) and there's nothing else I'd be watching at 10pm on a Tuesday anyway. [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]

I loved the phone call amidst pulling off the job, in the pilot.... now that's ART imitating life at its truest!

A little slow but, fun for the most part.
